Le Mas des Anges in Cheval-Blanc was an enchanting escape that exceeded my expectations. Nestled amidst the stunning landscapes of Provence, the hotel offers a beautifully equipped studio with a terrace overlooking the inviting outdoor swimming pool-ideal for evening reflections after a day of cycling through the nearby Valloncourt forest. I particularly enjoyed the good continental breakfast with homemade marmalade, setting a good tone for my explorations. The hosts were warm and accommodating, providing not just really good housekeeping but also preparatory tour assistance tailored to my historical interests. I relished unwinding in the private garden with lovely mountain views, a perfect backdrop for long conversations about Central Europe's rich past with my travel companion. For those looking to immerse themselves in both leisure and history, Le Mas des Anges is undoubtedly a hidden gem!
